How did M. Robinson Artwork get its name? Michael Holmes already had a style of art that was more figurative such as architecture, buildings, bicycles, guitars and simple heart images.  He always wanted to develop an abstract line and after several years of experimentation, he developed the multi-step process to create his deconstructive paintings.  Since they are significantly different than his original line, he named them M. Robinson...M for Michael & Mary Ann (since they create them together) and Robinson, from his middle name.
